Plastic Hand Surgical Associates is a leading reconstructive, hand and cosmetic surgery physician practice. Our day surgery center is fully accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). We provide patients with individualized care in a comfortable, private setting.

We are looking for a full time Billing Manager to join our practice. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coordinate and manage department workload; supervise billing, prior authorization and medical records staff
• Create new policies for Detailed Billing Manual as needed
• Act as liaison between physicians and staff regarding work flow and EMR
• Answer patient phone calls and resolve issues that are escalated to management
• Monitor daily and monthly reports produced by Practice Management System to ensure that accounts are being properly managed
• Oversight of practice Billing system; coordination and communication of daily issues with the computer system working with our IT staff and computer vendor
• Conduct chart audits with feedback to individual physicians
• Apprise physicians and staff of changes in coding guidelines; providing in-service training as needed
• Review and approve refunds or write-offs
• Provide coverage for charge entry

The successful candidate will have previous similar experience in a medical billing office. Excellent communication and organizational skills with follow up and attention to detail required, in addition to ability to maintain confidentiality. CPC strongly preferred.
